Fundraising success!

We are delighted to share the story of the inspiring kindness of a care home resident named Judith who decided to fundraise for us.

Judith Derby, a resident at Harrowby Lodge, decided to organise a raffle in aid of Care Rights UK after the work of the charity was mentioned at a relatives' and residents' meeting. Judith worked tirelessly with volunteer, Karen Wragg, to gather prizes, sell tickets and spread the word.

The raffle was drawn on 17th April at Harrowby Lodge, raising an impressive £75 for the charity! At the draw, Judith said, "I can't believe how generous people have been. I'm delighted we have managed to raise over £75 for Care Rights UK"

For a small charity like ours, every donation makes a real difference to support people to get free advice about their care. We are touched by Judith’s passion and hard work! Pete Storey, trustee for Care Rights UK whose dad is a resident at Harrowby Lodge, said "Care Rights UK is such an important charity, promoting the rights of older people in care and helping their loved ones with advice. It is wonderful that Judith and our friends at Harrowby Lodge have chosen to support us."

Thank you to Judith and Karen for showing what a great impact a caring community can have.
