When Rifat needed a care home placement, the local authority said he could only go into one of the homes they had a contract with.

His son Mutlu came to us for advice and we supported him to launch a challenge. By citing the council’s statutory duty under the Care Act, we enabled his father to have a genuine choice of care home providers.
