Improving care, protecting rights: making a difference across the UK
Join us on 21 October 2026 for a thought-provoking panel discussion on how to push for changes in social care.
We’re bringing together a panel of speakers from across the UK to discuss how we can improve care systems and protect care rights.
Panellists will speak from different viewpoints on this topic, including sharing their professional and personal perspectives of using the media, law and campaigning to bring about change.
Speakers include:
Emma Jones, Partner at Leigh Day solicitors
Zita Noone, advocated for her sister in care
Helen Wildbore, CEO of Care Rights UK
More speakers will be announced so keep an eye on our socials for updates.
Our event is ideal for anyone with an interest in social care in the UK. We’d love you to join us if you:
Have personal experience of care directly or via a relative or friend
Work in care as a social worker, advocate, care worker, manager or inspector
Have an interest in care policy development
Want to get involved with campaigning or working with the media or justice system to bring about changes
You can attend in person at our central London venue or join remotely over Zoom. There will be opportunities to ask questions and discuss challenges.
The event is free but donations are welcome to help us cover the costs and to support our work championing the rights of older people who need care.
